We are back into the swing of things and it is learning as usual at OES! Renovation is not stopping us from doing what we do best. Students in Ms. Robinson’s class shared their “Pizza Book Projects.” Each “slice” of pizza shared information about their books. Children included general information about the book, setting, main characters, conflict, resolution, their favorite part, and their recommendation. Yum!
Writing Buddies! Ms. Bement’s 5th grade class worked with their buddies in Ms. Rastelli & Mrs. Parikh’s Kindergarten class. The partners read a non-fiction book together about an animal. They then wrote their own book and illustrated it with pictures to describe the type of animal they had read about, where they live, their babies, and what they liked best about the animal. It is so wonderful to see the bond that has developed between these students. The kinders love spending time learning with their buddies and our 5th graders enjoy being the teachers!
